T105 - Mr. Retarder Mild 40ml

Mr.RETARDER MILD is an agent for retarding the drying of Mr.COLOR paints and eliminating lumps in brush-painted surfaces. In addition , it also greatly improves the evenness of the Mr.COLOR paint film and thus dramatically increase luster.

HOW TO USE

HAND BRUSHING

  1. Add approx.10% Mr.RETARDER MILD to Mr.COLOR and mix in well.
  2. Mr.RETARDER MILD should be added after transferring Mr.COLOR to another container such as a paint dish.
  3. Your brush strokes should all be in the same direction. Don’t be concerned about any brush marks or lumps , as these will disappear.

AIRBRUSH

  1. Add approx.20% Mr.RETARDER MILD to Mr.COLOR and mix in well.
  2. One of Mr.RETARDER MILD’s special features is that it is effective in thinning. Mr.COLOR paints, while producing more luster than Mr.THINNER. However, adding more than 20% delays drying time longer than required ,so if you want to thin Mr.COLOR more you should use Mr.THINNER.
  3. The method of application is the same as for regular spraying. However ,take care, since the paint may start to dribble.

Mr.COLOR has long been regarded highly by modellers worldwide as a model paint that delivers an outstanding finish. Wide range of colors are available, and these are suitable for military tanks, aircrafts, car models, robot models, and many more.

 Mr. COLOR is available in a wider range of colors and finishes than AQUEOUS HOBBY COLOR. Compared to AQUEOUS HOBBY COLOR, it has a faster drying speed and its paint film is stronger.

THINNING RATIO for Mr. COLOR
BRUSH PAINTING:
1 : 0.8~1.0
(Mr. COLOR : Mr. COLOR THINNER)
AIRBRUSHING:
1 : 1~2
(Mr. COLOR : Mr. COLOR THINNER)
※Mr. LEVELING THINNER IS RECOMMENDED FOR AIRBRUSHING
Must only be thinned with Mr. COLOR THINNER, Mr. COLOR LEVELING THINNER or Mr.COLOR RAPID THINNER.
Do not thin with THINNER FOR AQUEOUS HOBBY COLOR and ACRYSION SOLVENT.

 

CHOOSE AN APPROPRIATE THINNER

  • Mr. COLOR THINNER: The most basic thinner for Mr. COLOR
  • Mr. LEVELING THINNER: Slows down the drying speed. Recommended for gloss paints
  • Mr. RAPID THINNER: Speeds up the drying speed. Recommended for matt paints and metallic paints.

DO’S AND DON’TS:

★AQUEOUS HOBBY COLOR and ACRYSION can be applied over a coat of Mr. COLOR.

★Mr. COLOR cannot be applied over a coat of AQUEOUS HOBBY COLOR and ACRYSION.

 HOW TO APPLY Mr. COLOR

  1. Apply 1 to 2 coats if painting with a paint brush or 2 to 3 coats if airbrushing. 
  2. After applying a coat, let it dry for a few hours. After the first coat is completely dry, apply a second coat.

TIP!

  • Use T114 Mr. Paint Remover to remove paint from a surface.
  • Clean the tools with Mr. COLOR THINNER or Mr. TOOL CLEANER.
  • Mix approximately 5 to 10% of C30 Flat Base to convert gloss colors to a semi gloss finish, or 10 to 20% for a matt finish.
  • Mr. HOBBY TOPCOAT and SUPER CLEAR can be applied over a coat of Mr. COLOR.
  • Do a test paint before you apply paint on your model kit.

ATTENTION
  • Put the lid back on after use.
  • Store in a cool and ventilated place, away from direct sunlight.
  • Use in a well ventilated area.
